Dromahair Loop

This is the shortest and simplest route on the site, and is ideal for beginning cyclists as well as those with a short time window to get their cycling done. At 28km with few hills it can be done in under an hour by trained road cyclists and certainly within 90 minutes by most people. The route is mostly quiet back roads and takes you to the picturesque village of Dromahair, where you can get tea and sandwiches in a beautiful old-style pub called Stanfords.

Head from Manorhamilton towards Sligo on the N16. Take care on this busy road for 1.5km and turn left at the Carrigeencor turn. Continue to Kilcoosey junction at the 7.5km mark and bear left. (Turning right here also brings you to Dromahair on the other side of Carrigeencor Lake.) Just after 13km you reach Dromahair. Turn right if you want to check out the village, otherwise turn left. Just before 16km go straight through the crossroads for Sox Line which brings you to the Carrick road and back to Manorhamilton.
